about-imgGateway Arts is a nationally and internationally known arts-based vocational rehabilitation service with professional studios, a gallery and a retail store.

Gateway Arts provides professional development for more than 100 adults with disabilities who have talent in fine hand crafts and fine art. Artists are encouraged to follow their dreams, and create a unique individualized career, while learning new processes and developing skills with the encouragement and support of a professional staff of artists.

Gateway studios are open and dynamic.

Artists at Gateway develop skills in various mediums including, but not limited to, fabric painting, decorative painting, drawing and painting, graphic design, tie dye, mixed media sculpture, ceramic hand-building and wheel throwing, sewing, embroidery, knitting, jewelry making, weaving on production looms, creative writing for publication, and production in theatre, music and film making. Artists work alongside each other and learn from, support and inspire each other while creating unique one-of-a-kind products.

Each artist is engaged in an ongoing interactive process, where they choose their product line and develop their skills based on their interests and abilities. Each artist explores their desire; to be famous, try new things, or to make more money by creating saleable items.

Overall, studios are by nature dynamic, producing and developing new ideas and products daily.
