Judy Phillips was born in Dorchester, MA in 1947, and began working at Gateway Arts in 2001.
Phillips grew up in Newton, MA with her parents and sister. Phillips has worked in fibers since she was young. In 1996, she began making jewelry and immediately was taken by the process. After developing this newfound interest in beading, Phillips began looking for a studio where she could dedicate time to her creative endeavors. She discovered Gateway Arts in 2001 and has been making high quality works since. Whether working with beads or yarn, Phillips’ work is consistently comprised of delicate and classic designs.
Phillips’ work has been exhibited in the Gateway Gallery and at the Gateway Crafts Store.
