The opening reception for Linear Time was held on Friday, February 9th, 2018 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. The event was well attended, with over 120 artists, family members and friends, Brookline community members, and Gateway Advisory Committee members in attendance to support the Gateway Gallery’s first fiber arts exhibition. Guests enjoyed live jazz music and hot tea and cider generously provided by KooKoo Cafe giving the entire evening a cozy yet lively late winter energy well suited to the fiber artworks on display.
“The intricate and labor-intensive nature of the work made for an exciting show with a great turnout,” said Gateway Arts Development Specialist Christine Nolan. It also made history as one of Gateway’s highest-selling exhibitions to date, thanks in large part to the neighbors and dedicated friends of Gateway who continue to support the studio’s work.
