It feels like summer again in Brookline today! We hope you’re enjoying it as much as the characters in Jamilah Monroe’s backyard scene, ‘Untitled.’

Artists are hard at work— some in the Gateway studios, and some still at home.

These works are just a few of the final suite of works recently added to Celebrating Artists of Color, which round out a group of 75 stunning pieces in total. We love the show so much, we’ve extended it a few weeks into October!

A great way to take in the whole show is by viewing it online first at GatewayArts.Org, and then in person.

The Gateway Store is open for walk-ins today from 11-4. We highly recommend you take the chance to view Celebrating Artists of Color.

Kicking off virtually this Saturday, Oct. 3, 6-7PM @brooklineartscenter, the event will feature virtual artist talks, demos and studio tours from artists around Brookline.

Gateway masks are here!

Thanks to a collaboration with @amandamacmullan and @pem.shop at @peabodyessex museum, we are now offering four face masks designed from original art by Gateway artists (in order of appearance): Lyubov Rozenfeld, Darryl Richards, Kayla Snover, and Yasmin Arshad.

We think you’ll love these original masks as much as we do. Elastic loops, double layer poly blend material. $20 per mask.
