Gateway artist, Josie Sosa, to receive Yohei Nishimura Award from BiG-i Art Project 2015 in Osaka, Japan on November 22, 2015






josie_bigi_1Gateway Arts is proud to announce Josie Sosa has received the high

distinction of being awarded the Yohei Nishimura Award from BiG-i Art Project 2015.

“The BiG-i Project encourages communication among all people, with or without disabilities, to share happiness and joy with each other. This project intends to help those with disabilities find their potentials and realize their dreams by following three concepts:

  • Offering people with disabilities opportunities to engage in artistic activities;
  • Discovering and fostering talented artists; and
  • Supporting and promoting activities for artists with disabilities”

“[Being] number one is good, exciting.” says Josie Sosa.

Josie Sosa and a guest have been invited to Osaka, Japan to participate in three days of programming including an award ceremony and celebratory concert.  The BiG-i Art Project will continue as a traveling exhibition throughout Japan over the next year.
