CHARLIEGateway Arts presents CHARLIE a film by Lev Omelchenko chronicling a day in the life of artist, Charles Hurvitz. Charles, known by many in the town of Brookline, Massachusetts as Charlie, has been an artist at Gateway for over 15 years.  He is known throughout the community and has a strong network of friends.

In the process of crafting this film I gained an immense respect for Charlie and the people who support his work.  The experience affirmed a faith in the power of artistic expression.  I hope CHARLIE inspires the same joy and compassion in the viewers that Charlie and his work elicit in his many friends.”
