Health and Wellness Studio

The Health and Wellness Studio is comprised of nutrition, movement, and wellness programming, and promotes the physical wellness of artists to provide the balance necessary for creativity.

The nutrition program is all about healthy cooking.  Artists choose a focus food, usually a fruit or vegetable, and find appealing recipes to make together.  Artists shop for ingredients, prepare the dish, sample the finished product, and reflect on the process.

The movement program incorporates gentle exercise with artistic expression to encourage artists to enjoy activity and engagement through games and dance.  Visiting artists and instructors introduce artists to different genres of dance.

The Film and Wellness program allows artists to participate in Yoga, deep breathing, meditation, and strengthening exercise.  Individuals who have unique needs are encouraged to maximize their independence through encouragement, reinforcement and positive practice.
